This Blog is Archived!

A garden full of weeds, with a tidy vase of lily of the valley sitting beside the weeds.

Last Year I made a decision I'm really happy with: I began leaving Big Fascist Tech in the Dust!! Why did I make this change? Because I'm antifascist! Yup! I said it. Being anti-fascist means going out of my way not to hurt people, or the future of humanity. I'm proud of that. :-)

My transition is mostly complete, now, and I'm totally thrilled with my new digital life. I posted about the transition on my new blog, here: https://emilyvanartist.noblogs.org/post/2025/07/28/we-must-open-our-eyes-and-choose-to-see/

I'll leave Rickshaw Unschooling live, maybe indefinitely, because it still gets a lot of traffic from people mainly researching unschooling, explorative learning, and wild foods. Google already has all this, so there's no point in taking it down, and I'm happy it can still be useful to people. Updates about my kids, who are now adults and not wishing to have their lives plastered all over the internet, will be sparse, if any, and on my main website, not here. But I can tell you that at this moment they're 21 and 24, both living in the city, supporting themselves with full-time jobs, and are enjoying adult life. They rarely come home, but we visit them often! I miss them, but I suppose that's a marker of having raised healthy children who are busy enjoying their lives!

Mainly about art, but also where I now put all my life-content. Because life is art!
