When I was 12 our family was in SD between moves, as usual, and the Rodeo was happening. Grandpa Ham was driving a covered wagon in the parade, I wanted to ride in it. Elisabeth who was 8 and cousin Gary also 8 and Jim just 1 and I were in the covered wagon. A parade man said we didn't show riding in the covered wagon so we should ride in a stage coach- I really wanted to ride in the covered wagon but Grandpa said we should go in the stage coach. We rode down the street and then the stage coach driver kept going out to the edge of town. I watched and was getting scared because I didn't know where we were going, I didn't live in that town. The driver couldn't hear me asking him to stop. At his parking place he just jumped down and disappeared before we could get out. We couldn't find anyone so I said we just needed to walk back, I carried Jim and we just walked for a long time. Eventually Grandpa came with his car looking for us. I feel you're doing well to have Tali and Rhiannon learn to feel confident without you being there.<br />Mimi Wrighthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05931412406416704488noreply@blogger.com
